Industrial Services

The Industrial Services Division provides jobs to people with disabilities while at the same time providing local business with opportunities to outsource production work and janitorial services.

Contracts with Private Industry: GES has a workshop area located at the Gordon Smith Administrative office in Mobile, AL suitable for light production and assembly jobs. GES presently has several on-going contracts with local industries and continually seeks out new contracts to expand job opportunities for people with disabilities.

NISH Janitorial Services:

GES also performs off-site janitorial services at several government buildings in Mobile, AL through a NISH contract. NISH is a national nonprofit agency whose mission is to create employment opportunities for people with severe disabilities by securing Federal contracts through the AbilityOne Program, formerly Javits-Wagner-O'Day (JWOD), for its network of community-based, nonprofit agencies.
